Brenda’s greatest joy comes from being a mother.  She enjoys reading, baking, riding ATV with her family, serving in the church, and traveling with her husband.  Brenda comes from a large family.  She is the 13th child of 14 children.  She is an aunt/great aunt to 70 plus.  She was introduced to Idaho by her husband, Ty Palmer (former Meridian City Council Member) and fell in love with the state. She moved to Idaho days after her honeymoon and never wants to live anywhere else.  Brenda has four children: Reagan (6), Riley (6), Libby (4), and Lincoln (2).  She loves exploring Idaho with her family through long drives.  Her parents and majority of her siblings still live in Las Vegas. She completed her Associates of Liberal Arts degree at College of Western Idaho, after transferring from Boise State University when she was four months pregnant with twins.  She completed her Emergency Medical Training Certificates (EMT) at College of Southern Nevada. She served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from August 2010 – March 2012 in California Oakland/San Francisco Mission. She continues to serve in the church and is currently serving as the Ward Primary President.

Brenda’s greatest responsibility is to raise her children in a place where they learn and grow in a safe, family valued, beautiful, natural place.  She wants her children and grandchildren to have the opportunity to experience what is special, beautiful, and rare about Idaho. She wants them to have the ability to go hunting or shoot clay pigeons on Thanksgiving eve to win a frozen turkey.  She wants them to be able to drive ten minutes to pick corn directly from their friend’s field.  She wants them to be able to walk into a public bathroom and know they are safe.  She wants them to be able to drive to visit Grandma without sitting in traffic for 30 minutes.  She wants schools that will help them become responsible adults who can work and provide for themselves as well as their families.  She will be the first to tell you that she has weaknesses, but hard work is not one of them.  She will work hard for your family and hers to be able to have these experiences.
